MMHC offers a number of events throughout the mushroom hunting season and when that season is over it continues to provide learning opportunities and social activities. Watch this page for information on all of those events open to the public as details are finalized. Program: Mushrooms of Michigan was presented by Phil Tedeschi

Phil gave a Power Point presentation regarding edible and non-edible mushrooms found in Michigan and talked about a few others. Questions regarding particular aspects of mushrooms were fielded primarily by Phil but also with some help of other mycologists in attendance. There were 42 people in attendance including some non-members who decided to join after seeing what MMHC has to offer. The potluck was a huge success with a number of excellent dishes provided for everyone to sample.

Program: Introduction to Mushroom Hunting developed by Phil Tedeschi

This is an introductory program for all audiences which covers a variety of subjects related to mushroom hunting. While designed to serve the novice most this program is also beneficial to the more experienced mushroom enthusiasts. With morel mushroom season just weeks away, now is the time to begin preparing for the 2010 mushroom seasons. A number of experienced mycophagists will be on hand to help answer beginner's questions.
